IJu Ogundimu Explosion: Gas Tanker Explodes During Rush Hour On, Iju IShaga Road (VIDEO)

A vehicle laden with gas cylinders has exploded at Ogundimub, Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State on Thursday afternoon.

The video footage looks like a scene from a horror movie, a massive cloud of smoke enveloped the sky as bright red and orange flames engulf a line of passenger cars.

According to an eye-witness report, the vehicle gutted fire, and the cylinders immediately exploded.

However, as at the time of filing this report, there are no casualties neither has there been any official statement from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

Scores of people were on Thursday injured, properties burnt in Gas tanker explosion at Ajuwon Iju-ishaga road, Lagos.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Agency, LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident, urging Lagosians to stay calm as the agency has activated its response plan to the fire incident at Cele Bus Stop, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA and will provide further updates
