“The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22
The word ”PROSPERITY.” is a word that has gotten a lot of bad press, although some of the bad press has been justified; but it is a good word. Furthermore it is a biblical word.
The reason prosperity has become such a dirty word is because we have confined prosperity to things such as cars, houses, bank accounts and position. But the real definition, God’s definition of prosperity is radically all-inclusive. Now, What does prosperity really mean?
Prosperity is the status of having all you need AND the capacity to enjoy it. That means you are not really prosperous if you are rich in material things and poor in peace of mind and satisfaction of soul. If you are wealthy when it comes to money and yet you are poor in emotional health and well-being, you aren’t prosperous.
When God talks about prosperity it pertains to your whole life; every commodity and every area of your life. With true prosperity and riches, the amount that is in your bank account is inconsequential. The grade of the phone you use or the frontview photo of your car is rather insignificant. All of us have known people who were rich in material wealth but short on love, life, and some other basic things that make life worth living.
Genuine prosperity which is based on the word of God includes not only accumulation of wealth but also good health and peace of mind springing from spiritual security from God. As contained in the opening verse; “The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” Proverb 10:22.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, King Solomon who ruled in the golden days of prosperity recorded the secret of true prosperity (living in good health, success and peace) in Proverbs chapter 3. Do you want to be prosperous this year? I bet your answer is a big YES.
Here are 10 Secrets to being PROSPEROUS as Prescribed by King Solomon;
P = PRIORITY (Proverb 3:1-4)
Set your priorities right by putting God First.
R = RELIANCE (Proverb 3:5-6)
Rely on the wisdom and power of God and not of your own understanding only.
O= OBEDIENCE (Proverb 3:7-8)
Obey God’s word and not your own will and desires.
S= SOWING (Proverb 3:9-10)
Acknowledge God’s ownership of everything by giving back what is due to Him and be generous also with other people. You can never have a time of harvest in the future unless you start sowing today.
P= PLIABILITY (Proverb 3:11-12)
Be teachable! Do not reject the discipline of the LORD. The preparation time plus the process through which God will be shaping you may be hard and painful, but the outcome is surely for your own benefit.
E= EDUCATION (ProVERB 3:13-24)
Take divine wisdom by diligent study of God’s word.
R= RISK TAKING (Proverb 3:25-26)
Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the destruction of wicked people when it comes. The LORD will be your confidence. He will keep your foot from getting caught.
O= OPENHANDEDNESS (Proverb 3:27-28)
Practice compassion and sympathy with less fortunate people. Do not hold back anything good from those who are entitled to it when you have the power to do so.
U= UNITY (Proverb 3:29-30)
Be at peace with all people as much as possible. Do not plan to do something wrong to your neighbor while he is sitting there with you and suspecting nothing.
S= SATISFACTION (Proverb 3:31-32)
Do not be envious of dubious or violent persons, be satisfied with what you have and practice the spirit of thankfulness.
If these worked for King Solomon, it can work for you too.
And For everyone that have read this, your prosperity and riches shall begin to manisfest from this moment in Jesus Name
