Had a phone call with a long distance friend this evening and to my greatest surprise, a lot of shit had happened and more to come.
Dude is depressed and frustrated. He lost almost everything to Crypto like I did earlier this year. I lost millions of naira, but we still dey.
He said Richard, ” I’m emotionally exhausted, age is no longer on my side and I haven’t achieved my dreams”.
I felt terribly bad and same time confused cause I have personal problems to deal with too
But I tried as much as I could to encourage and motivate him and I’m glad I could help with the following advice:
I said, I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling emotionally exhausted and that you feel like you haven’t achieved your dreams. It can be difficult to feel like we’re not meeting the goals we’ve set for ourselves, especially as we get older. However, it’s important to remember that it’s never too late to make changes in our lives and to work towards achieving our goals.
Here are a few things you might consider that might help you feel better and more motivated:
Take Care Of Yourself: Make sure you’re getting enough rest, a lot of sex, eating well, and engaging in activities that you find enjoyable and relaxing. Taking care of yourself is an important foundation for feeling better and tackling the challenges you’re facing.
Set Small, Achievable Goals: Rather than focusing on your larger, long-term goals, try setting small, achievable goals for yourself. This can help you build momentum and feel like you’re making progress, even if you’re not where you want to be yet.
Seek Support: It can be helpful to talk to friends, family, or a therapist about your feelings and the challenges you’re facing. Having someone to listen and offer support can make a big difference.
Find Ways To Reframe Your Thinking: It can be helpful to try to look at your situation from a different perspective. For example, rather than feeling like you haven’t achieved your dreams, try to think about the progress you’ve made and the things you’ve accomplished.
Lest I forget, distance yourself from peer pressure.
You may find this helpful too. Did you
